NOVA Classic Wrestling Tournament Friday and Saturday in Fairfax
Fairfax High School hosts the annual event that features 32 teams from throughout Northern Virginia. Battlefield is the defending champion.

FAIRFAX, VA — One of the more noted noted prep wrestling tournaments in the area will be held Friday and Saturday at Fairfax High School, 3501 Rebel Run.
It's the NOVA Classic, and the field includes 32 schools from Northern Virginia and surrounding areas.
The tournament features 32-man brackets for every weight class.

Battlefield is the defending champion, and also the two-time defending 6A North Region champ.
The Bobcats are No. 2 in the initial Washington Post area prep wrestling rankings and return two VHSL state champions in River Curtis (132 pounds) and Brandon Wittenberg (113).
