Update: Dump Truck Cleared; All Westbound I-66 Lanes Reopen

UPDATED (April 16, 2:20 p.m.) VDOT reported at 1:37 p.m. that the overturned dump truck on westbound Interstate 66 near the Route 50 has been cleared and all lanes have reopened to traffic.

FAIRFAX, VA — Drivers on Interstate 66 in Fairfax County can expect delays midday Friday, as crews work to clear an overturned dump truck that stuck a bridge pier, according to an 11:45 a.m. post on the Virginia Department of Transportation's Twitter account.

Two lanes of westbound lanes are closed at the Route 50 overpass in near Fair Oaks. Traffic is being diverted onto the other westbound lanes.
