Patch Survey: How Do Virginians Feel One Year Into Pandemic?
Patch wants to get your thoughts on how Virginia has handled COVID-19 over the past year and learn about your plans for the spring.

VIRGINIA — Sunday marks the one-year anniversary of Virginia’s first known case of the coronavirus. Since then, almost 10,000 Virginia residents have died from COVID-19 and nearly 600,000 have tested positive.
During the past year, schools, businesses, entertainment venues and sports teams have had to adapt to safety precautions. Friends and families have been separated to avoid spreading the virus. With spring around the corner, though, conditions appear to be improving.
Virginia administered 50,000 vaccinations on Wednesday, a goal that Gov. Ralph Northam set back in January as the state seeks to fight off the COVID-19 disease.
