Richard A. Martin, age 66, of Fairfax, Virginia died on August 27, 2016. Beloved husband of Lynn M. Martin; father of Kristin Bunch (Brian) and John Martin (Meg Nicholson); brother of Donna Pence (Arthur), Edward Martin (Vivien Leone) and the late William Henry Martin, Jr. and grandfather of Ethan Richard Bunch. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Mary Lou Martin.

Rick graduated from Virginia Tech with an MBA. He worked in the insurance industry for 33 years and more recently found a job that he loved as a school bus driver for Fairfax County. He was all about family and bringing them together with his wonderfully delicious cooking every Sunday and holiday. He was the most proud GrandPap and was always sharing pictures of his grandson Ethan. He loved watching Manchester United soccer and Redskins football. He was a loyal and generous man, always being the first to lend a hand or offer help in any way he could. He looked forward to his golf outings with his longtime group of friends and their annual trip to Williamsburg. The wine dinner at Pierro's Corner with his wife, sister, and brother-in-law was an event he looked forward to every month. Celebrating New Years's Eve with long-time friends was a favorite tradition. He had a larger than life personality and was loved by many.
