Rock The Block To Shake And Rattle Old Town Fairfax

A whole summer full of live rock n' roll music will be returning to Fairfax City starting Friday with a performance by The Rockets.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — It's time to don a black T-shirt and torn blue jeans, slick back your hair, and adjust your attitude. Old Town Fairfax is about to rock.

Rock the Block 2021 returns Friday, bringing live music, frosty beverages, and food vendors to Old Town Square in Fairfax City.

The Rockets, who will be performing from 6:30-9:30 p.m., kick off a season of live music performances on the fourth Friday of the month through October.

Here is the schedule for Rock the Block 2021:

  • The Rockets - June 25
  • Trial By Fire (Tribute to Journey) - July 23
  • The Reflex - Aug. 27
  • Sudden M Pac - Sept. 24
  • The Darby Brothers - Oct. 22

In addition to enjoying live music, patrons may purchase food from one of the vendors or grab a drink at the beer garden. Alcohol sales will start at 6 p.m. and end at 9 p.m. All alcohol must be purchased at the event. Although people are allowed to bring sealed, non-alcoholic beverages to the show, outside alcohol is prohibited.

Patrons are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets. Pets are not allowed at Rock the Block.

Parking is available at the East Street parking lot, the Sager Avenue Parking lot, the City of Fairfax Regional Library, or Old Town Plaza.
