FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Virginia Department of Transportation is warning motorists to expect potential delays traveling on Ox Road (Ox Road) and Zion Drive (Route 654) throughout Tuesday, as maintenance crews continue their work.

Ox Road (Route 123) was closed in both directions Tuesday morning due to a downed power line near the intersection Zion Drive, according to a post on the Fairfax County Fire & Rescue's official Twitter account. Travelers can expect delays as crews work to clear the cable.
As of 2 p.m., Dominion Virginia Energy is reporting two customers without power in the area, which is down from the 182 reported earlier. The cause of the power outage is listed as a broken pole, according to the utility company. Repairs are expected to be completed by 4 p.m.

VDOT reported that repair work on Ox Road and Zion Drive could continue until 6:30 p.m., due to the maintenance work.
