Snow Timeline in Northern Virginia

Light snow will keep falling into the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. Share your snow pics.

A light dusting of snow is coming down in Northern Virginia on Sunday morning.

The snow is expected to continue in parts of the region until around 3 p.m. Sunday.

The National Weather Service reports accumulations through the early afternoon will be one half inch or less.

But, the snow could make some roads slippery, particularly in higher elevations.

Drivers are urged to allow for extra breaking distance.
