Assistance League Helps Meet Needs For Local Families
Community Contributions Help Support Grocery Gift Card Distribution
Still caring, always helping.....
Assistance League of Northern Virginia is pleased to report that the chapter delivered 400 additional $20 grocery gift cards in January to students and their families at six local elementary schools that had been receiving its monthly distribution of weekend food bags.
The nonprofit knows this assistance helps some of the most disadvantaged in the community. One mom was so happy to be able to purchase some much-needed food items that she provided a photo of the backseat of her car filled with grocery bags. The photos showing the smiles on the faces of other families that received the cards are heartwarming.

With help from friends and supporters, Assistance League can continue this effort until it can resume its Weekend Food for Kids program.
