On Thursday, October 16, 2014 of Fairfax Station, VA after a courageous 10 year struggle with mycosis fungoides, a rare lymphoma. She is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, Donald M. Horstman; children Eric M. Horstman, Lauren I. Horstman and Stephanie L. Horstman; grandson Gavin X. Cook; mother Marion Gardell; siblings Gary T. Gardell, Anne G. Picciano, Julie M. Matthews and Amy E. Temenak. Lynne was a devoted wife, mother and sister who loved her Catholic faith and cherished her many friendships. An accomplished artist, Lynne exhibited her paintings in several forums. She will be sorely missed.

Friends may visit from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Friday, October 24 at Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home, 9902 Braddock Rd. Fairfax, VA. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Saturday, October 25 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 8800 Braddock Rd. Annandale, VA 22003. Interment will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
