Rescue Me: Adopt This 2-Year-Old Hurricane Kitty

FAIRFAX STATION, VA — Eleanor is a 2-year-old cat who came to Homeward Trails to escape Hurricane Laura. Now that she's safe, she's been looking for a permanent home. She is a low-key girl who enjoys lounging on the couch watching the latest shows on Netflix.

Eleanor is very gentle and quiet. She likes catnip toys and looking out the window. Windowsills are her favorite thing — she's excellent at keeping track of the neighbors. As she becomes more comfortable in her environment, she becomes a little love bug who adores getting pet.

Homeward Trails Animal Rescue adopts pets to homes in Washington, D.C., Virginia and Maryland. Anyone interested in our animals can complete an adoption questionnaire. We work with applicants to ensure a good match between them and the pet and vice versa, the adoption questionnaire is how we start the adoption discussion. Most of our animals are in foster homes in the area. Others are available to meet by appointment at our Adoption Center.
