Rescue Me: Bolt Is Looking For A New Home — How About Yours?

Bolt loves the outdoors but he understands the importance of lounging around the house.

FAIRFAX STATION, VA —Bolt is a 5 1/2-year-old Husky, who came to Homeward Trails from a rural shelter. He was surrendered when his human lost their job due to the pandemic.

Weighing 60 pounds, Bolt is the best of both worlds, he loves outside time, but also knows the importance of lounging around the house. He loves to be in the same room as his human and will come over and lean against their leg to show he wants some affection. He has excellent house manners — no accidents!

Homeward Trails Animal Rescue adopts pets to homes in Washington, D.C., Virginia and Maryland. Anyone interested in our animals can complete an adoption questionnaire. We work with applicants to ensure a good match between them and the pet and vice versa, the adoption questionnaire is how we start the adoption discussion. Most of our animals are in foster homes in the area. Others are available to meet by appointment at our Adoption Center.
