Rescue Me: Dynamic Duo Wants To Be Heroes Of Your Heart

FAIRFAX STATION, VA — Winny and Wilma are a dynamic duo. They came from a hoarding situation, but have adapted to getting all the attention like pros. Winny is very outgoing, loves being held and cuddled, and is an explorer. He doesn't like to sit still for long, loves playing with toys, and is very curious about the world around him. He's great with other cats, totally cool with dogs, and doesn't mind kids at all. He would be happy in literally any environment, as long as it has plenty of food, which is his favorite thing in life. Everyone he meets is his best friend, and he has no idea what "personal space" means.

Wilma is also super sweet, but less of a cuddler. She is a purring machine and loves being petted, she's just a little slower to warm up than Winny. She's also a big explorer, is great with other cats, a little shy but cool with dogs, and also doesn't mind kids.

If they were characters from a movie, they would be Timon and Pumbaa. They love being around each other, but also love to annoy the other one (one of Winny's favorite pastimes is to smack Wilma and run away). They're overly friendly, playful and outgoing, talkative, and their favorite time of day is dinner time!

Homeward Trails Animal Rescue adopts pets to homes in Washington, D.C., Virginia and Maryland. Anyone interested in our animals can complete an adoption questionnaire. We work with applicants to ensure a good match between them and the pet and vice versa, the adoption questionnaire is how we start the adoption discussion. Most of our animals are in foster homes in the area. Others are available to meet by appointment at our Adoption Center.
