Rescue Me: Peppy Needs Someone To Snuggle With

FAIRFAX STATION, VA — Meet Peppy, a 2 1/2-year-old male Boxer mix. He’s a shy boy, but has the sweetest heart once you get to know him! Peppy came to Homeward Trails Animal Rescue completely shut down from a rural rescue partner in Georgia and has spent the last several months coming out of his shell.

Peppy needs a home with at least one resident female adult. Peppy loves other dogs and requires at least one confident dog in residence to show him the ropes. He doesn’t mind cats, and currently lives with a cat in his foster home.

Peppy will also need a fenced in backyard, as leash walking is extremely overwhelming to him. Peppy is looking for home away from busy side streets, as those noises can be a bit scary for a shy country boy! He loves snuggling in warm dog beds and being an all around good boy!

Homeward Trails Animal Rescue adopts pets to homes in Washington, D.C., Virginia and Maryland. Anyone interested in our animals can complete an adoption questionnaire. We work with applicants to ensure a good match between them and the pet and vice versa, the adoption questionnaire is how we start the adoption discussion. Most of our animals are in foster homes in the area. Others are available to meet by appointment at our Adoption Center.
