FAIRFAX STATION, VA — Hello! My name is Gigi! I am the Princess of the Homeward Trails Adoption Center! I have been ruling this land for quite some time now. You may be wondering why a magnificent Princess like me is still here? That is because I have not yet found someone who is worthy of my companionship. But, I have been waiting patiently to find the perfect person.

Here are my most impressive qualities:

I have been waiting for a human who is worthy of caring for my royal self. I am quite picky as to who I consider worthy. I am looking for someone who can devote all of their attention to only me. I require a lot of compliments, so this is necessary. I am sometimes a picky eater. A princess doesn't settle for mediocre meals. I need someone who will cater to my ever-changing moods. A princess doesn't need to be consistent.

Because I am royalty, I need to be careful about who I let into my inner circle. I need someone who is invested in earning my trust and will take the time to make me feel comfortable. A good way to earn my trust is by doing the things that I like. I like car rides, walks in quiet areas, eating cheese, and playing tug with squeaky toys.

Because I am royalty, I am a part of the Go Fetch program. This means that my adoption fee has been waived and I come with all of my essential items. Homeward Trails Animal Rescue adopts pets to homes in Washington, D.C., Virginia and Maryland. Anyone interested in our animals can complete an adoption questionnaire. We work with applicants to ensure a good match between them and the pet and vice versa, the adoption questionnaire is how we start the adoption discussion. Most of our animals are in foster homes in the area. Others are available to meet by appointment at our Adoption Center.
