Rescue Me: This Recent Mother Of 10 Is Looking For A Home

Homeward Trails Animal Rescue found a home for Lily's 10 puppies and now it wants to find a new home for her.

FAIRFAX STATION, VA — Meet Lily, a 2.5-year-old medium sized mixed breed. This adorable girl came to Homeward Trails Animal Rescue in January from a shelter in southern Virginia. She was very pregnant and gave birth to 10 puppies on Jan. 22. Her pups already have adopters lined up, and so now it's her turn.

This sweet girl greets new people well and settles in pretty quickly. She loves going for walks and having time to explore outdoors. She is medium size — about 45 pounds — and has good house manners. Both her fosters have said she is house trained, loves company, greets new people well, walks well on leash, and is medium energy. She enjoys walks but loves a good evening curled up on the couch.

Lily would do best in a home where she can be the only pet. In her foster home, she was with two other dogs and did fine, but having all the attention would be great for her as she was previously a stray and bonds quickly to people. She is great out on leash and does fine meeting other dogs. She's friendly with kids and previously lived with teenagers. She wiggles right up to everyone for kisses and knows commands (especially for treats!)
