Weather Forecast: Sixties, Showers and Snow
The forecast in Northern Virginia has a little bit of everything, including a chance for some snow.

You’d think a few gorgeous days in the 60s would chase off any notion of wintery precipitation, and you’d be wrong.
We’ll start the week with temperatures in the mid-60s, but the other end of this week includes a chance for rain and snow.
Before we get there, we’ll see our share of the latest winter storm, but it will only be rain in Northern Virginia from Tuesday night into Wednesday.

Another line of storms heads into the region Thursday night. The Weather Channel forecasts about 1 inch of snow overnight and less than an inch early Friday morning.

Monday: Isolated showers before 10am. Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 65. Breezy, with a west wind 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 39 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 60. Light and variable wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.
Tuesday Night: Showers, mainly after 1am. Low around 48. Southeast wind 13 to 18 mph becoming southwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Wednesday: A chance of showers before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 53. Breezy, with a northwest wind 18 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.
Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 44.
Thursday Night: A chance of rain and snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 31. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
Friday: A chance of rain and snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 38. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 28.
