• Homeowner hospitalized after house fire in Fincastle (wsls.com) — A Fincastle homeowner was airlifted to the hospital after repeatedly re-entering a burning house on the 1400 block of Lees Gap Road, according to the Fincastle Volunteer Fire Department. Fire crews quickly contained the blaze and are investigating the cause, while reminding residents never to go back inside a burning structure and to let firefighters retrieve belongings when it’s safe.
