Bank Robber Pictured In Surveillance Footage: Sheriff's Office

The Stafford County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help identifying a man who robbed a bank off Garrisonville Road on Tuesday.

STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — The Stafford County Sheriff's Office released surveillance footage that shows the suspect in Tuesday's bank robbery. Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect, who stole cash from the SunTrust bank before fleeing on foot towards Garrisonville Road.

Authorities said that the suspect entered the bank, approached the teller's window, and held up a note demanding money. The teller complied and placed cash on the counter, according to a post published on the Sheriff's Office Facebook page.

No weapon was displayed during the robbery, police said. The suspect took the money and fled the area on foot. He was last seen near Garrisonville Road.

The sheriff's office said the suspect is between five feet, ten inches and six feet, three inches. He weighs approximately 200 pounds, police said.

During the robbery, he was wearing a brown Walls-branded jacket, black sunglasses, a blue surgical mask, and blue jeans with a stain on the left leg. More photos of the suspect are available on the Sheriff's Office Facebook page.
