Central Park Adding Multi-Level Go-Kart Track In Fredericksburg

A multi-level go-kart track is planned for the Central Park shopping center's amusement park. It would be the first of its kind in Virginia.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA—A multi-level go-kart track is planned for the Central Park shopping center's amusement park at 1351 Central Park Boulevard, according to the city's department of economic development and tourism. The $1.2 million project would be the first of its kind in Virginia, and is tentatively scheduled for a March opening, pending city approval.

The track will be 27-feet high and 1,872 feet long, and will replace the current Grand Prix Track, thus allowing for as many as 21 go-karts running at one time. Also, the name for the park is changing from Central Park Fun-Land to Fun-Land of Fredericksburg.

Over the past two years, Fun-Land has spent more than $2 million in upgrades, according to the city.
