Girl Impersonates Mom Juggling Work From Home During COVID: Video
A Charlottesville mom posted a video of her daughter, 8, impersonating her working from home that has been seen nearly 11 million times.
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA — A Charlottesville mother posted a video of her 8-year-old daughter impersonating her working from home on LinkedIn and received a response she never expected.
Colleen Chulis, who works in sales, posted the clip of her daughter, Adelle, pretending to multitask as she deals with work issues, Zoom meetings and monitoring her children.
"My 8-year-old daughter asked me last night if she could do an impression of me. I wasn't sure what to expect. This was the first and only take," Chulis wrote in the caption of the video, posted last Friday.

In the video, Adelle snaps her fingers as she takes a business call, imitating her mother who has to shoo away her children or offer other instructions to them.

"The kids are going all crazy," Adelle tells the person on the phone with whom she's pretending to speak. "The dog is very crazy."
"It's hard to multitask, you know," the daughter adds.
Chulis is a regional vice president of regulated industries for SAP SuccessFactors. She told Good Morning America that she has been working from home since the start of the pandemic. Her children, Adelle, Luke, 10, and Declan, 6, are all attending school through hybrid learning.
"I'm on video and I work in sales so I'm talking to customers a lot," she told GMA. "I think the challenge for me is, I'm presenting on PowerPoint and the kids are like, 'Can you get me an [ice pop]?' They'll pass notes under the door ... it's the day-to-day stuff that happens."
Chulis' husband, Matt Chulis, is associate head coach for men's soccer at the University of Virginia. Her husband returned to coaching in-person a few months ago, which means Chulis must take care of her children during the day while working remotely, she said.
The video has received more than 31,000 comments on LinkedIn. Some commenters said Adelle should be an actress and joked that the "Oscars await."
"She is a natural. This looks just like me, especially with the finger snapping," another commenter said.
Chulis told GMA that she appreciates how her job has given her the flexibility during COVID-19 to work from home and be able to take care of her children.
