Stafford Man Charged With Brother's Murder: Sheriff's Office

A Stafford man was arrested and charged with murder after authorities accused him of killing his brother on Monday morning.

STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — A man has been charged with the murder of his brother, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. Brian Hall is being held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.

Deputies with the sheriff's office responded to a home in the 1200 block of Thomas Jefferson Place around 8 a.m. on Monday morning for a report of a domestic dispute, Major Shawn Kimmitz said on Facebook. Family members had fled the home and called 911 to report two brothers fighting.

When authorities arrived on the scene, the home's front door was already open.

Authorities made announcements to the occupants of the home, but "no one would answer the door," Kimmitz said. Stafford County deputies entered the home using a shield and a robot to conduct a search, according to the sheriff's office.

Deputies reported seeing "a significant amount of blood" throughout the home.

The sheriff's office said they found Brian Hall in one of the home's other rooms. He was taken into custody without further incident.

Brian Hall is charged with second degree murder, and is being held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
