Spotsylvania County Plans Drug Take Back Day Sept. 29
Sheriff's office deputies host two locations for prescription drop-offs.

The Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office will be manning two drop off locations Sept. 29 for prescription drug "Take Back" day.
Representatives from the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office will be present from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Emergency & Outpatient Services at Lee’s Hill and at the main entrance of the Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center.
"This is a chance for the community to drop off their expired or unused medications and sharps," a press release from the sheriff's office said.
"Simply drive up, drop off and drive out with no questions asked. This program dramatically reduces the risk of prescription drug diversion and abuse and increases awareness of this critical public health issue."
