A Victorian Santa Claus will be visiting children at The free events, sponsored by the Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park, offers kids the opportunity to learn about history through legends of Christmases yore.
The historic Ellwood Manor will be open to the public this Saturday, December 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will feature Dale Brown playing a 19th century Saint Nicholas. Kids will be able to chat with Santa, create arts and crafts and learn about how children of the past celebrated the holidays.
A variety of historic holiday themed activities await attendees young and old.
Civil War era music will also be performed at both events by the band Evergreen Shade.
