Fredericksburg Area Restaurant Inspections: FredNats Concessions
The Fredericksburg Nationals' concessions stands accounted for some of the Rappahannock Area Health District's most recent inspections.
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Officials from the Rappahannock Area Health District inspected multiple food storage and preparation businesses across the region from May 18 to May 22, including several concessions stands at the Fredericksburg Nationals' stadium in Fredericksburg.
As coronavirus restrictions continue to loosen around the state, health inspectors are returning to conduct restaurant inspections in person. However, some visits, such as those for training purposes, are sometimes being conducted virtually.
Violations at restaurants typically focus on factors that can contribute to food contamination. The local health department also performs a re-inspection to ensure that possible violations have been corrected.

For every observed violation, the inspector provides a specific corrective action that can be completed to rectify the violation. Sometimes these are simple, and violations can be corrected during the course of the inspection.
The Fredericksburg Nationals' concessions stands accounted for six out of the seven most recent routine inspections conducted by the health district. Of the six stands, a total of one violation was located at one stand.

No violations were noted at five of the stadium's stands, and all of the inspections ended with an issued permit, according to the health district. The only violation, at the stadium's Chick-Fil-A stand, was corrected during the inspection.

- Observed a leak under the cart's handwashing sink.
- The inspecting official also noted several discussions that were held with the person in charge. They noted that the cart's hoses should be stored separately to prevent contamination, employee health policy records should be stored on-site, and and equipment and food should be stored off of the floor.
