Fredericksburg Pet Of The Week: Handsome Russell Loves Play, Work

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Check out the luscious locks on this guy! Handsome isn't the only thing Russell, who is available for adoption from the Fredericksburg SPCA, has going for him. He's had a lot of interest based on his looks, but Russ is looking for more than just someone to fall in love with his smile and waves of silken fur.

Russell is just shy of 2 years old, but has already held down a steady job. Prior to his arrival at the SPCA, he worked on a farm as a livestock guardian and did great with all types of other animals, including cats and dogs.

Russell isn't ready to settle down and retire just yet — his ideal home would be with another farm family where his skills will be of use. He'll make his rounds and alert you to any foxes, coyotes, or raccoons causing mischief.

He loves to lounge around afterward and watch the clouds go by. Russell has LOVED getting his zoomies out with other dog pals and regularly attends doggy daycare sessions graciously provided by Dogs 4 Dayz.
