Fredericksburg Police Investigate Series Of Car Break-Ins

Fredericksburg police reports show small items, including a gun, were stolen from three vehicles in a 24-hour period.

Fredericksburg, VA —Police are investigating three car break-ins that happened this week in Fredericksburg.

The first was reported on Monday at 12:50 p.m. when a resident said someone stole her purse from her unlocked vehicle while it was parked on the 1700 block of Carl D. Silver Parkway.

Later that day, at about 7:20 p.m., a man told police someone stole the wallet he left in his unlocked vehicle on the 2500 block of Manor Drive.

At 9 a.m. Tuesday, less than 24 hours after the first two incidents, a woman discovered her handgun was stolen from her unlocked vehicle.

Anyone with information about these crimes is asked to call the Fredericksburg Police Department at 540-373-3122.
