Fredericksburg Transit Provides Free Mobile App To Track Buses
The mobile app will allow FRED riders to plan trips, reduce wait times at bus stops, and be notified of any schedule or route changes.
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Fredericksburg Regional Transit has a new mobile application to help riders track their buses on their smartphone. The new tool is available to FRED riders and for all transit routes.
The app will allow FRED riders to more conveniently plan trips, reduce wait times at bus stops, and be notified of any schedule or route changes in real-time through their smartphone, the transit system said. The RouteShout 2.0 app can be downloaded on iPhone and Android devices at no cost from the Apple Store or Google Play.
“We want to provide all our riders who rely on us every day with the latest transit technology so they can get to work, appointments, and school on time," Jamie Jackson, director of public transit at Fredericksburg Regional Transit, said Monday in a statement.
