Fredericksburg's 4th Of July Events 2020 Canceled

The Fredericksburg Heritage Festival, planned for July 4, has been canceled as have the fireworks shows traditionally held in the city.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — July 4 events across the country will not look the same this year thanks to the coronavirus. Many cities and towns have been forced to cancel the annual Fourth of July events, including Fredericksburg.

This year’s Fredericksburg Heritage Festival, planned for July 4, has been canceled. This includes cancellation of the downtown craft show, car show, 5-mile run and children’s parade. The fireworks traditionally held in Old Mill Park and Pratt Park have also been canceled.

Fourth of July festivities in Spotsylvania County have been canceled this year due to the coronavirus crisis. The Stafford County Board of Supervisors also decided to cancel its July 4 firework celebration this year.
