FredNats To Hold July 4 Fireworks Show At New Baseball Stadium

The Fredericksburg Nationals are hosting a Fourth of July fireworks show, starting at 9 p.m., at their new baseball stadium.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — The Fredericksburg Nationals are hosting a Fourth of July fireworks show at their new baseball stadium on Carl D. Silver Parkway near the Fredericksburg Expo and Conference Center. The public will be able to view the fireworks show, which is scheduled to begin around 9 p.m. Saturday, from their cars in the Central Park area.

"You don't need to be parked at the ballpark to see it," the team said. The fireworks show will be paired with patriotic music on Superhits 95.9. The July 4 event, sponsored by Simventions and Pohanka Nissan and Hyundai, will begin at 8:30 p.m.

Residents are invited to park and remain in their cars within a 2-mile radius of the new stadium to view the half-hour-long show.

This year's Fredericksburg Heritage Festival, planned for July 4, has been canceled due to the coronavirus crisis. The fireworks traditionally held in Old Mill Park and Pratt Park have also been canceled.

Fourth of July festivities in Spotsylvania County also have been canceled this year due to the coronavirus crisis. The Stafford County Board of Supervisors also decided to cancel its July 4 firework celebration this year.
