Jesus (peace be on him) was the Messiah of the age and came 1400 years after Prophet Moses (peace be upon him), for the lost tribes of Israel and to revive the faith. When Jesus (pboh) was put on the cross, he was around thirty years old. He was a strong man and remained on the cross for only a few hours. When his disciples saw him, he was unconscious but was alive because when the centurion pierced his side with a spear, blood and water gushed out.
Many people may not know that Muslims do believe in Jesus (peace be on him) but as a Prophet of God. Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) also taught Muslims to respect all religions. The Holy Quran mentions about Prophet Jesus (pboh) and states, "The Messiah, son of Mary, was only a Messenger; surely, Messengers like unto him had indeed passed away before him. And his mother was a truthful woman. They both used to eat food..." (5:76).
Jesus (pbuh) lived a long life and conveyed God’s message to his people. He is buried in Srinagar, Kashmir. Many Hindu scriptures also mention him living in India.
We also know that people of various faiths are waiting for Messiah of the latter days. Ahmadi Muslims believe that “Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian, India is” the Promised Messiah who has come with all the signs and support from God, 1400 years after Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of God be upon him) to revive true Islam and to unite mankind
