Kathryn Ann "Katie" Chichester Wolfe, 56, of Fredericksburg passed away Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Mary Washington Hospital surrounded by her loving family.Katie was born on July 26, 1959 and grew up in Alexandria, Virginia, graduated from Hayfield High School in 1976. She was a true mother, wife, and friend. Katie's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. She enjoyed fishing, crabbing, the beach, music, spending time with family and her vegetable garden to name a few.Beloved wife of Jim Wolfe; mother of Jaclyn McCormick, Dallas McVicker and Kathryn "Beanie" McVicker; grandmother "Nee Nee" of Jaden, Anthony, and Ashlyn; daughter of Dallas and Jean Chichester; sister of Debra Lee McGuire, Darlene Chichester, and Samantha Layton and many nieces and nephews.A service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 7 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please send donations to Phoenix House, 164 West 74th St. New York, NY 10023 (please specify the Virginia Beach location), American Cancer Society South Atlantic Division Inc, 4240 Park Place Ct.
