FREDERICKSBURG, VA—You may already have noticed this price hike, but just in case (per the city), for those who dispose of trash at the Belman Convenience Center & Eskimo Hill Landfill, as of July 1, the following increases took effect:

  • Annual passes increased from $100 to $120
  • Coupon books increased from $30 to $40
  • Per-visit fee increased from $4 to $5

Also, the Rappahannock Regional Solid Waste Management Board has implemented a new oversize load fee that'll be applied to any material being transported in cargo vehicles or trailers over eight feet. A cargo vehicle is defined as any vehicle with open or enclosed cargo space, or cargo vans with only driver and front passenger seating. This extends to dump trucks, box trucks, moving vans and enclosed trailers.

The R-Board continues to operate solely on revenue generated through commercial and residential fees. It's not supported through tax dollars and therefore needs to maintain a fee schedule that supports its operations. Residential fees have not been increased since initial implementation in 2015.
