Lane change on Fall Hill Avenue

City of Fredericksburg Public Works announces a permanent lane change on Fall Hill Avenue at Jefferson Davis Highway. In an effort to reduce congestion at the Intersection of Jefferson Davis Highway & Fall Hill Avenue, Fredericksburg Public Works has changed the lane configurations of the Eastbound Fall Hill approach. Traffic movements in the new configuration are now left turn only from the left lane, with straight and right turns from the right lane. Please see the diagram below indicating the lane changes.

New lane control signage has been installed at this intersection, along with a message board to alert motorists of the new change. The work was completed on May 3, 2021. Drivers are encouraged to remain alert to the new signage and road markings in this intersection.
