Maxie Needs A Forever Family To Work Out And Snack With
Maxie has been with the Fredericksburg SPCA for one year and is still looking for her forever home.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — At the Fredericksburg SPCA, a dog named Maxie is celebrating her one-year anniversary in foster care. Maxie has grown and matured during her time in foster care, but she is ready to find her forever family, the Fredericksburg SPCA said.
Most dogs only stay at the shelter for about two weeks before being adopted, so Maxie's stay is out of the ordinary, according to the SPCA. Maxie is about 5 years old.
Maxie would be a perfect fit in any athletic family. "She loves going for hikes, getting outdoors, running on treadmills, and has even been known to pull her fosters on a scooter," the Fredericksburg SPCA said.

Though, Maxie can appreciate a good snack, too. "For her year anniversary with us, her foster dad brought her by the SPCA for a play date and we had the chance to spoil her with her favorite – Cheetos!" the Fredericksburg SPCA wrote in a blog post.
One of Maxie's many supporters has already sponsored her adoption fee. Maxie is also eligible for the Pets for Patriots program, which provides several benefits to veterans and active servicemembers who adopt a pet.
