Pamela Aycock Works Selflessly As Volunteer: Fredericksburg Hero
We all know someone who's making a difference. Let's help share these amazing stories! Presented by Ring.
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we're working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.
This submission comes from Michelle Ledbetter, who knows Pamela Aycock through their church. Pam helps people through their church because she feels it's the right thing to do, not to receive accolades or recognition.

Reason for recognition: Pam works the Food bank at our church, but she goes above and beyond. If someone is hungry and in need and it’s outside food bank operational hours or the food bank cannot meet their needs, Pam will use her own money and purchase groceries for them. Pam has also been known to take a family out to a restaurant for a good hot dinner. She does everything she possibly can to make sure that no one she knows in need goes hungry. Obviously, she cannot feed everyone in Stafford County, but she does everything she can and sets a great example for the next generation of what it is to be humble and to serve.
One thing to know: The person or family does not need to be a member of the church and she does it without very few people knowing. She and her husband are two of the most selfless people I know. They also are generous donors to a local organization that serves poverty in neighborhoods.
Thank you for all you do, Pam!
