Police Seek Suspect in Armed Taxi Robbery at 7-Eleven
A taxi driver who parked his vehicle in a 7-Eleven at 905 Lafayette Blvd. in Fredericksburg was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday morning.

A Fredericksburg cab driver told police he was parked in a 7-Eleven parking lot on Lafayette Boulevard around 4:45 a.m. Wednesday when a male subject approached the driver’s side window and asked him if he was available for a fare.
When the driver said yes, the suspect reached in through the window and pointed a handgun at the driver, demanding his cash and cellphone. The driver complied and the suspect fled from the area on foot. The driver then ran inside the 7-Eleven and called 911.
The suspect was described as a tall black male over 6’2”, approximately 250 pounds and in his early to mid-30s. The suspect was clean-shaven and was last seen wearing a white sweatshirt with a gray hood pulled over his head, dark gray shorts, and white shoes.

Multiple officers, including a K-9 unit called to the scene, searched the area extensively but were unable to locate the suspect. An investigation is ongoing.
