Poolside Camping Set For Dixon Park In Fredericksburg

FREDERICKSBURG, VA—As camping trips go, this particular one isn't exactly "roughing it." As a matter of fact, it's relatively luxurious. We're talking about the Great American Backyard Campout, Friday night through Saturday morning, June 21-22, at Dixon Park, 1300 Dixon Street.

Held around the pool area, the "trip" will include games, a campfire, s'mores and other activities. Simply pitch a tent outside the pool and you'll be good to go throughout the night and into the morning.

The check-in time is 6 p.m. Friday, with check-out at 10 a.m. Saturday. The cost is $10 per person, with kids 3 and younger free. Those 17 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
