Potential Shooting in Fredericksburg Wawa Parking Lot

Fredericksburg police responded to reports of a large group of 8 to 12 males and females fighting in the parking lot near the gas pumps at the Fredericksburg Wawa Food Market, located at 2390 Plank Road.

Several witnesses told police they heard at least two gunshots before the group dispersed and fled the scene, possibly in a green Ford Expedition and a white Mitsubishi sedan. Witnesses also described a potential shooting victim who fled the scene in one of the involved vehicles.

The incident occurred Saturday, Oct. 25 around 2 a.m. Officers arrived on the scene within one minute of the first 911 call, but all parties involved had left the scene.

Officers discovered spent shell casings in the parking lot but have yet to locate a victim. An investigation is ongoing.
