Primary Elections In Stafford: When, Where To Vote

Polls will be open in Stafford County on Tuesday, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. If you're in line by 7 p.m., you'll still be able to vote.

Primary elections are held for several statewide and local offices around the Manassas area, including races for the Democratic nominations for Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, and the 2nd District House of Delegates.

STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — All registered voters in Virginia are eligible to vote in Tuesday's Primary elections.

The primary will determine which candidates will appear on the Nov. 2 ballot in the following statewide races: governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general, as well as local representatives to the Virginia House of Delegates and a nomination for the Stafford County Board of Supervisors.

In north Stafford, voters will be able to support their preferred candidate for the Democratic nomination in the 2nd district of the House of Delegates. Incumbent Democratic candidate Candi King faces a challenge from Pamela Montgomery.

Stafford's Aquia district will also host a primary election for the Republican nomination for the Board of County Supervisors. Incumbent Cindy Shelton is running against Paul Milde.

Before heading to the polls, voters can check their registration status online, and they can also find their polling place and find out what identification they'll need.
