Rescue Me: Hercules The Dog Goes From Zero To Hero
Hercules, an adoptable dog in the care of the Fredericksburg SPCA, is not quite a demigod, but he is a great fit for a loving family.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — He puts the glad in "gladiator." Hercules (the dog) is available for adoption now through the Fredericksburg SPCA!
Currently, Hercules is in the care of one of the Fredericskburg SPCA's foster families. Though he enjoys the break from the shelter, Hercules needs to find a forever family of his own.
"Whose zoomies are great theater," the SPCA joked. "Hercules!" According to the Fredericksburg SPCA, Hercules is getting along swimmingly with his foster family.

"Herc looks as if he's never had a better sleep," the SPCA said. "He hogs all of the bed pillows, couch pillows and crate pillows."

In addition to his (essential) beauty sleep, Hercules enjoys playing and hanging out with the other dogs in his foster home. "His favorite thing to do is snooze after a great day of playing with his other canine pals in the home," the SPCA explained.
"Just like his namesake, this Hercules seems to have some demigod strength and striking good looks," the SPCA said. Don't be fooled; this pup is more than a set of muscles and a sharp jawline. "His foster says that he is the smartest boy on the block, learning quickly with his crate and leash training."
Hercules is about sixteen months old, according to the SPCA's website. He has already been neutered.
Anyone looking for a good arm workout could be a great fit for Hercules. "He's got the hang of toys now and loves to play tug-o-war with his foster family," the SPCA said. "He will even dig out his favorite stuffed elephant from the toy box!"
Anyone looking to adopt a dog like Hercules find more information on the SPCA's website. To arrange a meeting with Hercules, interested families can email matchmakers@fredspca.org.
The Fredericksburg SPCA is also looking to recruit foster families for their dogs. More information about fostering a dog is available on their website.
Anyone who has space in their heart and their home for a dog is encouraged to reach out to the Fredericksburg SPCA, or the nearby Stafford County Animal Shelter. On Thursday, the Stafford County Animal Shelter announced on Facebook that their dog kennel was completely filled.
