Rescue Me: Holly, A Born Survivor, Needs A Home

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Holly has had a difficult life, but she's still a happy girl with an abundance of love to give to a new family. Holly is available for adoption now at the Fredericksburg SPCA.

Holly is originally from Puerto Rico. When she was rescued, she was placed in veterinary care for 10 days that was needed to save her life, according to the SPCA. Her rescuers originally planned to keep her as a part of their family, but unexpected circumstances arose and now Holly needs to find a new home.

"We are very happy to welcome her to Fredericksburg," the SPCA said. Holly may not be a perfect fit for every family, though.

"Holly prefers to be the only apple-of-your-eye and would do best as the only pet in the household," the SPCA said. "She gives so much love and affection, you won't need anyone else to fill your heart up!"

After travelling hundreds of miles and undergoing life-saving medical treatment, Holly has been a positive influence on those who know her. "Holly inspires us daily with her story starting so tough, being a survivor and still being a happy-go-lucky pup," the SPCA said.
