Rescue Me: Ray Is A Loving Cat Looking For A Retirement Home
Ray is a 12-year-old senior cat at the Fredericksburg SPCA, but volunteers who have met him said Ray has plenty of love left to give.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Older cats need love, too. Ray is a 12-year-old cat at the Fredericksburg SPCA, and he is looking for a family to retire with.
Ray is an easygoing old man, and he has been soaking up attention at the SPCA. "Old man Ray is loving all of the attention he received from all of the kids in our Junior Volunteer Program," the SPCA said. "and they don't even mind that he drools a bit when he's happy."
Ray isn't picky with who he gives his love to, either. "Ray loves everyone who stops by to say hi, and he loves it even more if they bring treats to share," the SPCA said.

Ray's adoption fee is being waived, since he is an older cat. Senior cats who are seven and older always have their adoption fees waived.
Ray's age shouldn't scare anyone off, though. "We believe that love is ageless and this guy has a lot more love to give," the SPCA said. "While he loves a good lap or soft bed to nap on, this guy can't resist a feather wand toy to bring out the pep in his step."
