Stafford detectives said an unknown dispute broke out between the two brothers on Monday afternoon that led to the shooting. The younger Veronee then stole his brother's car and drove it to the Roanoke area, where it broke down.
The Roanoke police said they were notified of a "suspicious subject" at a local cold weather shelter and took Veronee into custody.
