Summer Concert Series Returns To Fredericksburg Area Museum
The Fredericksburg Area Museum's "Sounds of Summer" concert series will return to Market Square this Summer, beginning on June 11.
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Concerts are coming back to Fredericksburg this summer. The Fredericksburg Area Museum's "Sounds of Summer" concert series will feature musical performances on a monthly basis at the historic Market Square, beginning on Friday, June 11.
The performances will occur on the second Friday of each month, from June through October, according to a news release from the museum. The concerts will be ticketed, and tickets will go on sale one week before each performance.
"In keeping with state COVID regulations, this year’s Sounds of Summer series will be a ticketed event," the museum said. "Members of the museum will enjoy early access to ticket sales, early concert entry, and preferred seating."

Members of the museum will also receive discounted ticket prices, according to the news release. The museum's membership plans start at $45. More information about museum membership plans and benefits is available online.
Children under the age of 5 will be able to attend concerts for free, the museum said. Tickets will cost $5 for the general public, or $3 for museum members.

Wine and beer will be available for purchase at this summer's concerts. Water will also be available in exchange for a $1 donation to the museum.
Elby Brass will headline the series' first concert on Friday, June 11. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and tickets will go on sale on Monday, May 31.
Elby Brass is a Fredericksburg-based band of acoustic musicians, specializing in "heavy horn funk," according to the band's website. They are notable for their purple and gold uniforms, which were originally acquired for free from Lake Braddock Secondary School in 2009.
"A full concert line-up, as well as concert sponsor information will be available shortly," the museum said.
