Suspect Sought in Armed Robbery at Warrenton Road BB&T

An armed suspect robbed the BB&T at Warrenton Road Monday morning around 10:18 a.m., according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an armed bank robbery Monday morning at the Warrenton Road BB&T in Fredericksburg.

The incident occurred around 10:18 a.m. at the BB&T Bank at 760 Warrenton Road.

The male suspect reportedly entered the bank and demanded money from a teller, revealing a handgun in the waistband of his pants. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money before he walked out of the bank toward Plantation Drive.

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid-40s with a small build and light facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, a black flat hat and black sunglasses. He was also wearing a white collared shirt with a yellow tie.

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.
