Suspect Stabbed During Break-In Attempt In Stafford: Police
A man was stabbed in Stafford County on Saturday after police said he broke into a woman's apartment, destroyed property, and assaulted her.
STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — A suspect was stabbed after he was accused of breaking into a woman's apartment in Stafford County on Saturday. The suspect, Foray Bundu, faces several charges including assault, breaking and entering, and destruction of property.
Bundu and the victim both suffered serious injuries that required medical attention. Their injuries were not considered life-threatening, the Stafford County Sheriff's Office said.
At 12:22 a.m. on Saturday, Stafford County deputies responded to the Garrison Woods neighborhood for reports of a disturbance. A female victim told police that she knew Bunud, and he broke into her apartment, according to a report from the sheriff's office.

The victim claimed that Bundu was not allowed at the apartment complex. She stated that he appeared to be drunk, and forced his way into her apartment by kicking and pushing the front door, police said.
The sheriff's office stated that after Bundu entered the apartment, he began to assault the victim and destroy her property. A television and an iPhone were both reported as damaged, authorities said.

During the assault, the victim said that Bundu wrestled her to the ground. However, she said she used a kitchen knife to stab him in the shoulder, according to the police report.
After she stabbed Bundu, the victim left the apartment and called 911. When deputies arrived on the scene, they found Bundu suffering from a stab wound. The deputies also claimed that Bundu "had an odor of alcoholic beverage coming from him and red, glassy eyes, the sheriff's office wrote in a Facebook post.
Bundu was taken to a hospital to receive treatment for his injuries. He is charged with breaking and entering, felonious assault, destruction of property, trespassing, and public intoxication. He is being held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
