FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Couples still have time to decide where to celebrate Valentine's Day weekend in the Fredericksburg area. Dinner on Valentine's Day night is often the most popular choice for couples, although restaurants and wineries are offering special meals and deals on Saturday, Feb. 15.
Patch has put together a list of ideas for couples who have yet to decide where to celebrate Valentine's Day 2020.
- The Fredericksburg Hospitality House Hotel & Conference Center in Central Park is offering a Valentine's Night package with or without a sleeping room included. At $199, couples will get a dinner and dessert buffet, live music by Left Turn Right from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., a sleeping room with a king bed, late check out and breakfast in the morning. The dinner package is $99 per couple without the sleeping room. Anyone interested should call 540-736-1005 to make reservations or visit the Fredericksburg Patch for more information.
- Riddick Entertainment & Events invites couples to an evening of love and love music on Feb. 14 at 8 p.m. at the Beehive Event Center and Library Lounge at 1224 Powhatan St. in Fredericksburg. The night comes with dinner for two — chicken marsala with mashed potatoes, green beans, salad and dinner roll — and live music featuring SiM. All for $125 per couple.
- Enjoy an exclusive Valentine’s Brunch at Amy’s Cafe on Saturday, Feb. 15 at noon, along with live entertainment from Wyatt Michael in the beauty of this historic inn dating back to the late 18th century. The brunch costs $20 per person and includes a Mimosa or Bloody Mary. For the meal, guests have several options: corned beef hash topped with two eggs; Chesapeake Benedict/Traditional Benedict with choice of grits or fried potatoes; veggie frittata served with side of fresh fruit; and Bear Bowl-chicken fried steak topped with fried potatoes and white pepper gravy and two eggs. Seating for this special event at 103 West Cambridge St. in Fredericksburg is limited. Reservations must be made in advance through EventBright.
- Amy's Cafe is also offering a Valentine’s themed dinner on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 7 p.m at 103 West Cambridge St. in Fredericksburg. As with brunch, couples get to enjoy the live entertainment of Wyatt Michael. The dinner costs $50 per person and comes with a glass of house wine. For your meal, there are many options: Surf and Turf 10 oz Sirloin and crab cake with baked potato; Chicken Marsala served with creamy mashed potatoes; salmon served with rice pilaf topped with Hollandaise sauce; and pasta prima vera. All dinners are served with house salad, and choice of dessert. Seating for this special event is limited. Reservations must be made in advance through EventBright.
- Celebrate with your special Valentine at Castle Glen Estates Winery on Saturday, Feb. 15 and get two-for-one wine tasting paired with chocolate Fondue. Free live music from Ruby & Jay Turner from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Take home some complimentary Lovers Chocolate. Picnics, pooches and children are welcome. Castle Glen Estates Winery, located at 18185 Narrow Path Trail in Doswell is only a 30-minute drive from Fredericksburg.
