What's Open, Closed For 4th Of July 2021 In Fredericksburg
Though the 4th of July is on a Sunday this year, some services are changing their hours on July 5 to give their employees time off.
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — With COVID-19 metrics improved from earlier in 2021, many 4th of July celebrations will be returning.
Fireworks will be held at 9 p.m. on the Fourth of July at the FredNats Ballpark. Other events around Fredericksburg and Stafford County are also returning after a hiatus forced by the coronavirus pandemic.
The Independence Day holiday falls on Sunday, July 4, which also means Monday, July 5 will be the observed holiday for closures. The City of Fredericksburg's government offices will be closed on July 5, and other services will have schedule changes.

Stafford Landfill: Closed on Sunday, July 4
Belman Road Recycling Center: Closed on Sunday, July 4
Fredericksburg Trash and Recycling Collection: Will operate as normal over holiday.
Central Rappahannock Regional Library: Closed on Sunday, July 4 and Monday, July 5
Post offices: Closed on Monday, July 5
VRE: Closed on Sunday, July 4 and Monday, July 5
FRED Transit: Closed on Monday, July 5
