What's Open, Closed On Presidents Day 2018 In Fredericksburg
Many services in the area will take a long weekend to celebrate Presidents Day.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — As Americans commemorate Washington and Lincoln's birthdays for Presidents Day, a number of services in the area will be closed for the federal holiday on Monday, Feb. 19. All federal government offices will close on Presidents Day, as well as all post offices. Most banks will be closed.
Here's a full rundown of what's open and closed for the holiday:
- Fredericksburg, Stafford and Spotsylvania County Offices: Closed Monday, Feb. 19
- Fredericksburg and Stafford County Public Schools: Closed Monday, Feb. 19
- Spotsylvania County Public Schools will be open for a snow make-up day.
- State Offices: Commonwealth of Virginia offices will be closed Monday, Feb. 19, including the Circuit and General District Courts in Fredericksburg and Stafford.
- Virginia Railway Express (VRE): No service on Monday, Feb. 19
- I-95 Express Lanes: Open on regular schedule
- HOV Lanes: Restrictions lifted on Monday, Feb. 19
- Central Rappahannock Regional Library: All branches closed
- Spotsylvania Animal Shelter: Closed on Monday, Feb. 19
- Stafford County Animal Shelter: Closed Mondays
- Fredericksburg Trash Collection: No changes in the trash and recycling curbside collection schedule. Monday collections will proceed as usual. The Belman Road Recycling Center and the Stafford Landfill will be open normal hours: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Rappahannock Area Health District: All offices closed
