Beyond the Page Theatre Company Announces "She Kills Monsters"

Dramatic Comedy "She Kills Monsters" Opens November 1st at West Potomac High School

ALEXANDRIA, VA - The award-winning Beyond the Page Theatre Company of West Potomac High School announces that their newest action packed show, She Kills Monsters, will premiere November 1st and run through November 3rd.

Following last year’s run of plays DNA and A Few Good Men, Beyond the Page Theatre Company is excited to continue bringing shows to the stage with it’s 34th season, Art That Matters 3: Blood, Sweat, and Tears. She Kills Monsters is a fast-paced play debuting in the Kogelman Theatre at West Potomac High School.

The play focuses on Agnes Evans as she journeys through the Dungeons and Dragons world in attempts to reconnect with her sister Tilly. In the aftermath of Tilly’s death in a car accident Agnes feels obligated to learn about her sister through the Dungeons and Dragons notebook that Tilly left behind. Written by Qui Nguyen, She Kills Monsters tells the touching story of an unlikely commonality bringing two sisters together.

Last year in the United States, over 50 billion water bottles were used but only 23% of them were recycled, which means 38 billion water bottles ended up in landfills. At Beyond the Page Theatre Company, we have decided to combat this problem by starting a green initiative. We will be prohibiting the use of disposable water bottles in the theater and a filtered water bottle filler has been installed in order to promote the use of reusable water bottles. We are calling this initiative BYOB- Bring your own BOTTLE. Beyond the Page will also sell BTP branded reusable water bottles for an affordable price at every show. In addition to limiting plastic use, programs will not be handed out during performances, rather we will be providing a very large program for all to see on display. Thank you in advance for helping us to conserve our valuable resources.
